AOC Fined for Tax Evasion
Turns out the Democrats’ failed bartender-turned-Congresswoman represents her party well.
She’s a failed businessperson and a tax-evader.
Too bad the state of New York spent so much time manufacturing lies about deposed President Trump for tax evasion, rather than looking at the real tax evaders like Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
It only too five years for the state of New York hit Ocasio-Cortez with fines for dodging tax warrants against her previous business. The warrant was filed nearly two months after she launched her political campaign.
The state filed its tax warrant against Brook Avenue Press, a child-focused publishing house AOC founded in 2012.
The warrant referenced Ocasio-Cortez’ failure to pay $1,618 in corporate taxes. With penalties and fees, the warrant amount has since ballooned to $2,461, due to nonpayment.
With Ocasio-Cortez’ new salary, one would think $2,461 is a chip-shot for the new big baller. Perhaps she’s pulling a “Hunter Biden”: she’s waiting for a lobbyist or a constituent to pay her bill?
In a true show that Ocasio-Cortez is a Democrat, her spokeswoman Lauren Hitt declared to the New York Post in May of 2020 that the representative contested the tax warrant.
“The congresswoman is still in the process of contesting the tax warrant. The business has been closed for several years now, and so we believe that the state Tax Department has continued to collect the franchise tax in error.”
Just so we are clear, Ocasio-Cortez believes her warrant expired because her business failed? Her policies are much the same, when you consider that she and other Democrats pay people NOT to work.
And let’s not forget that Democrats pay college debts for people who get nonsensical, useless degrees. Ironically, remember that the state of New York sued “Trump University”, because some of the participants didn’t get rich selling real-estate.
Why doesn’t Ocasio-Cortez just pay her bills? Simple answer: because she is an entitled Democrat.
