Don't understand it ... but definitely seen the outcomes up front and personal
Most don't end well ...most families or support people walk away. ...which magnifies the problem....and outcome.
Believe me ...those that stay. It is a jail sentence as it takes a very strong partner to accept or understand the responsibility you have taken on.
I spent 3 months on the streets during my divorce1 0 years ago and seen a lot at street level upfront. In Grand Rapids they had a building full of about 100 programmed people. This was only tip of the iceberg in comparison to what was on the streets.
We are not talking HS drop out. We are talking Doctor's, Lawyer's, CEO, VETs and professional's on down the line that were affected by mental illness, drug and alcohol additions.
