You want the new President to stay, you better f'ing vote yes. If you vote no, he won't stay. They need the shares in part to pay him his salary and to pay him the standard sign-on bonus. Read the proxy. Vote yes to give the new President the runway to do something with the company. Expecting him to give you a roadmap before he has come on board is ridiculous. You are putting the cart before the horse.
PS, maybe he can give some update before the vote after he gets on board, but don't tie his hands behind his back and blindfold him and expect him to succeed. Give him the tools he needs to make us succeed. Maybe filing share increase request was a condition for him coming on board. Note that tomorrow is his first day I believe.
