The study involving treatment of leronlimab along with stem cell transplant will work effectively if 100% receptor occupancy is maintained. The downside is it would only be used with those already getting a stem cell transplant.
His most recent proposal that he got a grant for is using AAV vectors for delivery of leronlimab. This may be where he hopes to have a single injection of leronlimab last for months. Since viral reservoirs will still exist this is not a cure. As far as I'm aware AAV is used for drug delivery so I don't know where the "body itself producing leronlimab" from the CC comes from.

A long time ago I had proposed using leronlimab with another drug that would flush out HIV viral reservoirs to effectuate a cure. Interestingly Dr. Sacha will be involved in two research projects involved in clearing viral reservoirs.
