Thanks, yes I agree that typically the MMs do not care which way they make money, up or down, they just guage sentiment by way of sizing up the buying volume and selling volume and go up if the buying volume is stronger but go down if the selling volume is stronger. However in very thin micro cap tickers they tend to have an overly heavy hand they play the stock with so it often artificially creates a scenario whereby their own large sell blocks wind up "cellar-boxing" the pps as they squeeze out weak hands by brute force. In this way they have complete and total control over when the stochastics change direction and how low or high the pps goes up or down over the time frames and periodicity that they decide it will have, basically drawing whatever chart they want over time. This is why I always suggest for investors to simply nibble over a long long period of time, whenever they think the price is very low on a fundamental and absolute basis, not on a relative basis. I dont play the every day ups and downs, its a very risky and juvenile game. As a day trader you can make a lot of money one day if you are lucky but lose a lot of money on the next day if you are unlucky. Using a longer time frame in which to invest, it gives the investor a greater chance to be right based on only fundamental factors, which somewhat cuts down on the luck factor. Besides, I think day trading is fine but I would not use such a thinly traded low volume micro cap pink sheets stock to shove all my money into and out of each and every day in order to day trade, for that I recommend trading currencies and commodities. I invest long term in some of these micro cap start up stories and most flop horribly but that is to be expected, occasionally one will sky rocket and more than pay for all of the previous losers and bring in a very nice ROI. Each to his own sytles of investing but just be aware that people do not get on a message board (iLub) every single day of their lives and post every other minute ranting and raving about how terrible a particular stock is or why no one should buy it without having any reason to do so. I think its obvious why certain individuals decide to dedicate so much time and effort to bashing a stock, "chances are" they are MMs or boiler room paid bashers with a financial interest in driving the stock lower while bashing sentiment to get longs to sell out so they can cover and/or manipulate the stock price and volume at will in order to make a profit day trading each and every day. Sometimes they pump and spike the stocks to make money and other times they dump and short and bash to make money on the way down. Others like me have their own reasons for posting, like seeing all of this manipulative chicanery so often as to feel right to warn others about the reality of these situations so all can, indeed, "smell the truth".
