I THINK THIS WILL BACKFIRE ON HIM - WILL PISS VOTING PARENTS OFF!)
The Biden administration unveiled a new website this week that directs young girls to information about how to get a secret abortion without their parents’ knowledge.
Townhall reports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website, ReproductiveRights.gov, provides information about how to get an abortion and how to get others to pay for it now that states may protect unborn babies by banning abortions again.
The website describes killing unborn babies in abortions as a “right” even though the U.S. Supreme Court said there is no constitutional right to abortion in its historic ruling Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health last week.
“Your right to access abortion services: Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, access to abortion will depend on the state you live in even more than before,” the HHS website states.
While the HHS website very briefly mentions support for pregnant and parenting mothers, such as prenatal care and breastfeeding services, the promotion of abortion and birth control appear to be its main purpose.
Primarily, the government directs users to another website, AbortionFinder.org, a project of pro-abortion groups, including the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood, with information about how to get an abortion and how to get taxpayers or independent groups to pay for it.
That independent website tells girls under 18 how to skirt state parental involvement laws and get abortions without their parents’ knowledge or consent.
According to Townhall:
For women under age 18, AbortionFinder.org directs them to a separate website to obtain a judicial bypass to get an abortion “if you need to avoid involving a parent or guardian.” …
The webpage contains a “quick exit” button that immediately redirects the website to an unrelated webpage, presumably so a minor can avoid getting caught browsing the site.
Girls under 18 who want to avoid parental involvement — or who are being pressured into an abortion by their abusers — are encouraged to contact the Repro Legal Helpline, which helps teens obtain consent from a judge instead of a parent.
“There are other options if you can’t or don’t want to involve your parents, or if your parents refuse to support your decision,” the group states on its website. “You can get an order from a judge that lets you get an abortion without telling your parents. This process is called judicial bypass.”
Most states require that a parent consent or at least be informed before their underage daughter has an abortion; however, 12 do not.
The new government website also promotes mail-order abortion drugs to women of all ages, claiming they are “safe and effective.”
“Federal regulation permits medication abortion to be dispensed by telehealth and sent by mail via certified prescribers and pharmacies, in addition to in-person dispensing in clinics, medical offices, and hospitals,” the HHS website states.
The Biden administration believes mail-order abortion drugs are a way America can keep aborting unborn babies even in states that protect their lives under the law.
On Friday in reaction to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, President Joe Biden promised to make sure the abortion drug mifepristone remains available to women to “fullest extent possible.”
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland also mentioned the abortion drug Friday, telling states that they “may not ban mifepristone based on disagreement with the FDA’s expert judgment about its safety and efficacy.”
However, this appears to contradict the Dobbs ruling, which restores the rights of states to make decisions about abortion and unborn babies’ rights.
Mifepristone is used to abort unborn babies up to 10 weeks of pregnancy. It blocks the hormone progesterone and basically starves the baby to death. For decades, the FDA required that abortionists provide the drug in-person after a medical examination because of its high risks. In December, however, the Biden administration got rid of the in-person requirement and began allowing the drug to be sold through the mail. Now, abortion drugs can be purchased online without ever seeing or even speaking to a doctor.
The FDA has linked the abortion drug to at least 26 women’s deaths and 4,000 serious complications between 2000 and 2018. However, under President Barack Obama, the FDA stopped requiring that non-fatal complications from mifepristone be reported. So the numbers almost certainly are much higher.
New data and studies suggest the risks of the abortion drug are much more common than what abortion activists claim, with as many as one in 17 requiring hospital treatment. Another study by the Charlotte Lozier Institute found that the rate of abortion-related emergency room visits by women taking the abortion drug increased more than 500 percent between 2002 and 2015.
The abortion drug is used for more than half of all abortions in the United States, according to a new report from the Guttmacher Institute. In 2020, the drug was responsible for 54 percent of all unborn babies’ abortion deaths, up from 39 percent in 2017, the pro-abortion research group found.
