Quite true there has been no captain, and true again you wouldn't necessarily hire one if you were selling the boat.
As for it still floating, we know it isn't at the bottom of the sea, but we have no idea how much of the boat is still above water. And you wouldn't hire a captain for a ship that cannot be saved either, or, even if YOU (with little experience) thought it could be saved, an EXPERIENCED captain may know better than to take on a sinking ship. I AM NOT SAYING CYDY IS SINKING, I am merely pointing out other possibilities for 6 months with no CEO for a company that so many of us think is so remarkable that BP and CEOs should be lining up and falling all over themselves to come aboard.
