Another Reason Why The Jan 6 Hearings Were a JOKE

Americans today have other choices for their television and other beliefs. All the major networks can put the January 6 hearings in your face to their heart’s content. It doesn’t mean they’ll be watched.

Less than 20 million viewers tuned in. It did better than Trump’s first impeachment hearing at 9 million. This might be an accomplishment for the chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) who is otherwise losing.

The January 6 hearings is just a show

And everybody knows it. Higher viewer ratings included Joe Biden’s State of the Union at 38 million and Trump’s first State of the Union at 45 million.

The major news networks had their back ends handed to them again. It doesn’t help that the committee’s chair, Liz Cheney, is losing by double digits to a Trump endorsed candidate.

The January 6 hearings in prime time

This was done supposedly to attract the most viewers. If it had aired at any other time the ratings numbers might get quietly shoved under the rug.

Rep. Liz Cheney might be trying to cruise to another career. Her Trump endorsed opponent, Harriet Hageman, is way ahead of her in polling.

January 6 was Trump support

Liz Cheney spoke against Trump so she may be voted out. Only 28% of respondents said they would vote for her in a poll done by Fabrizio, Lee & Associates. The report said, “The survey of 400 likely Republican primary voters in the deep red state shows that 56 percent would vote for Trump-backed candidate Harriet Hageman over the incumbent if the election were held today.”

Their view of her was even worse. Only 26% viewed her favorably. A huge number, 73%, didn’t have a good view of Cheney.

Trump said the hearings were a sham

The January 6 hearings should never have happened. Trump praised who he’s endorsed and disparaged Cheney and gave reasons for both.

“Harriet is a fourth-generation daughter of Wyoming, a very successful attorney, and has the support and respect of a truly great U.S. Senator, Wyoming’s own Cynthia Lummis.
Harriet Hageman adores the Great State of Wyoming, is strong on Crime and Borders, powerfully supports the Second Amendment, loves our Military and our Vets, and will fight for Election Integrity and Energy Independence (which [President Joe] Biden has already given up). Unlike RINO Liz Cheney, Harriet is all in for America First. Harriet has my Complete and Total Endorsement in replacing the Democrats’ number one provider of sound bites, Liz Cheney. Make America Great Again!”

Cheney using the January 6 hearings

She maybe using the hearings to stay in front of people and reiterate where she stands because she’s running again. A recent video talks about it.

“If we set aside our founding principles for the politics of the moment, the miracle of our constitutional republic will slip away. We must not let that happen.

In Wyoming, we know what it means to ride for the brand. We live in the greatest nation God has ever created, and our brand is the U.S. Constitution. I’m running for re-election and asking for your vote because this is a fight we must win.”

Her announcement comes two days before Trump will be holding a rally in her home state. The press release about his event stated, “This Save America rally is a continuation of President Trump’s unprecedented effort to advance the MAGA agenda by energizing voters and highlighting America First candidates and cause.”
