More than one million U.S. voters have actually changed their party association to the GOP over the past 12 months, painting a grim future for Democrats in the 2022 midterms and the 2024 general election to follow.
The GOP is benefiting most in the suburban areas of medium and big cities, where voters who supported Joe Biden in 2020 are battling with inflation and growing significantly critical of Democratic social concerns, according to an analysis from The Associated Press.
Approximately 1.7 million Americans have actually altered their party association over the past 12 months. Two-thirds of those have actually gone to the GOP, while only about 630,000 have actually changed to the Democratic Party, according to the report.
Biden’s administration has scrambled to address skyrocketing gas prices, in addition to inflation that sits at a 40-year high and shows no indications of decreasing.
Even prominent Democrats have criticized the White House reaction to the spiraling recession, stating that he is being too passive.
“I support the president’s efforts, but we need a bolder vision and faster action,” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times earlier in June.
“To meet the moment, Mr. Biden shouldconvene an emergency task force empowered to lower prices and address shortages. We need an all-out mobilization, not just a few ad hoc initiatives reacting to headlines,” he added.
The Associated Press spoke to Ben Smith, of Larimer County, Colorado just north of Denver who pointed to the Biden regime’s authoritarian shift to embrace COVID-19 mandates and their inability to impact skyrocketing crime.
“It’s more so a rejection of the left than embracing the right,” said Smith, a 37-year-old professional counselor who initially joined the Libertarian Party before voting as a Republican.
According to The New York Post, “Jessica Kroells, also a resident of Larimer County, said she was a reliable Democratic voter until 2016 but the party “left me behind” in 2020.

“The party itself is no longer Democrat, it’s progressive socialism,” the 39-year-old homemaker said, pointing out her opposition to Biden’s plan to get rid of billions of dollars in student debt.
Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel told reporters.“Biden and Democrats are woefully out of touch with the American people, and that’s why voters are flocking to the Republican Party in droves,”
