Yes very sad as people have no idea what these guys can do. It is a fact that the female gators are larger and meaner than "Mean Mary" that Leo enjoys listening to. Must be something about some females? First hand years ago most club members play these course day in and day out they will have names for these gators and not fear them as much. The warm sun will sooth these gator but when they decide to jump and run they are bad a$$es. Too many people have watched too many Tarzan and John Wayne moves. Even if a people didn't die from a sudden coronary when the gator clamped down on them they would surely die from drowning, whiplash or the gators tale. People also may not know that having a gator clamp on to them and they get away the person still risks infection from the bite that has caused amputation and even death.
The gators teeth and mouth carry the worst disease of any reptile, clear fact.
Generally speaking any time a person has respect for gators and are on foot near their location there will be times when you can't spot them and from experience even being on good ground and looking all around you when you get the shivers/willies it is time to leave and leave right now.
