Owning the libs? Seriously?
For those who think "owning the libs" is what Republicans are thinking about right now re overturning Roe, guess again.
Show me the Republican who's willing to watch their twelve-year-old daughter carry her drunken grandfather's baby to term - because it will "own the libs".
Show me the Republican who's happy to see a wife, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter give birth to a rapist's child - because it will "own the libs".
Show me the Republican family who's perfectly okay with mom dying because she can't terminate an ectopic pregnancy that will kill her - because it will "own the libs".
I understand that Republican voters aren't the sharpest knives in the kitchen drawer - but assuming that "owning the libs" is uppermost in their minds right now is beyond ludicrous.
We here have often discussed how Republicans don't care about an issue until it affects them personally.
Well, guess what? THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT AFFECTS THEM PERSONALLY.
This isn't about prayer in school, or taking a knee on a football field. This is about women - ALL WOMEN, Republican, Democratic, whatever - having their rights taken away.
So let's just STFU about "owning the libs" being a valid point of discussion - because it's not. The only purpose it serves is to undermine the importance of the issue-at-hand, as though women's rights were "just another trivial thing" that will give the GOP the last laugh.
In case some of you have missed it - no one is laughing.

3. I'm guessing that abortions will be available to "the right people" in red states. Of course, the unwashed masses will never know about it. Republican cruelty is surpassed only by their hypocrisy.
37. "owning the Libs" is really demonizing all Democrats, demonizing anyone who disagrees with the Magats.
There may very well be an exception for the abortion issue for some Magats, and so I agree with Nance for the most part.
For all other issues it is about demonizing Democrats. I asked a hard core Trumper who he was going to vote for, the Muslim from New Jersey, or the Harley Rider? (He used to ride a Harley) He stammered, "when?" I said in November, Fetterman or Oz? He said, I'm not voting for Fetterman and so I asked him why; it was because he is a Democrat.
So in this case, my Magat buddy, who is hard core racist, bigot, will overlook Oz being a Muslim to vote against Fetterman.
Those are the Magats who I live amongst.
