Makes me wonder then why the mgr didn't just come out and say "sorry, that is not my area of expertise" instead of giving BS advice that he knew was no more than a guess?
IMO there's quite a lot of this type of advice that goes around in all areas of life and I am sure all of us are guilty of it at one time or another.
