Its clear that taking time out of our lives to vote in the leaders of nations has benefitted our quality of life we are at least partially responsible for the decisions of the leaders we vote to represent us. When we take on the responsibility of a direct democracy we accept a greater influence on the society we create. Building a successful trusting nation that cooperates on making life more prosperous for everyone has been key to our rapidly advancing evolution since we could stand upright. Without our ability to fluently communicate and work together we may have never made it to the top of the food chain. A direct democracy utilizes our ability to work together and it pushes human ingenuity to new bounds it gives our lives new purpose knowing our perspectives and opinions have a immediate consequences in manifesting our future. No more blaming one individual leader or a specific political party for economic turmoil.
