But what is amazing about this is that it is one step closer to a reality. The NIH believes in it enough to put a million towards it. The NIH thinks that Leronlimab may have what it takes to CURE HIV. Meaning ERADICATE IT from the body. So that when you stop taking the HAART therapy or LL therapy, HIV is gone, it does not come back.
Why LL? and not another CCR5 blocker. Because we are monoclonal and we are harmless. Nothing else binds with greater affinity and nothing else does not induce conformational changes or deformities in CCR5 when it binds.
