2. Progression-free survival (PFS) is: the length of time during and after the treatment of a disease, such as cancer, that a patient lives with the disease but it does not get worse.
The above approximate definition is different than what you posted. You can have lab and/or imaging evidence of metastatic disease which is stable, and you can still measure a PFS (hey, how long was it before things got worse or you died?)
3. Your post suggests that CTC levels are an accepted monitoring standard in current clinical practice. Is that true?
