The link is not nearly as clear as it is for Moderna's vaccine in younger men, nor for blood clots in older women, as in JNJ's vaccine.
yet the FDA will use this as an excuse to deny approval for Novavax's safe and effective vaccine -- a vaccine that is NOT based on mRNA technology, thus overcoming objections from anti-vaxxers, and a vaccine that can be stored at normal refrigerator temperatures, and --
a vaccine that is 90.4% effective, which is BETTER than any of the currently approved vaccines.
I guess I will be traveling to Canada or one of the other TWENTY-EIGHT COUNTRIES that have approved Novavax's vaccine.
I hope that their management makes a big stink about this. This vaccine is safe and MORE effective, but probably will not get approved.
I have become discouraged at the prospect of ANY small biotech getting its drugs approved, with the FDA pressing its thumb on the scale to make sure that the big pharmaceutical companies have no competition, and making sure that small companies with great drugs will either go bankrupt or be sold at fire-sale prices to the big companies.
