Overwhelmed by the support and love through posts, PMs, thumbs and just positive thoughts from others that read posts here.
My brother and I are very close in age. Got some twin thing happening and I got 'help and company' on the other side now. We are going to do some things together now that there is no ceiling.
Some know, this investment was for Tom and everyone 'we' drive past on the streets, homeless. Disproportionately vets like Tom, but mental illness isn't picky and doesn't really care who you, what color or what you did.
I met all the neighbors today. After endless searching, I dropped Tom into their lap 9 years ago. Been secluded away from society in a basement for 30+ years prior.

I did a lot of apologizing today for the episodes, rants, screams, language and noise. Each time I was cut off.
What I learned is how so many people, that would normally 'not get involved', stepped up, without even being asked. Their love and kindness was indescribable. Who does that these days? Also learned Tom's neighbors are Rush fans. Good thing as they heard 2112 a million times in 9 years through the windows.
If you ever offered Tom any help, he would always say... "I got it"
