I watched a show on the Discovery Channel a few

I watched a show on the Discovery Channel a few months back. The show was about historic gold discoveries. One story in particular was about a man that hiked the wilderness in one of the south/ northwestern states. He came across a cave and within that cave was a very large find of natural/ pure gold. He placed some gold in his rucksack as he left the cave to return home. He went and had his gold appraised and/ or sold it at a local reatailer. A few days later on his way back to the cave he found that the government (U.S.) had claimed the entire area and the hills were storming with government agents. The government laid claim to all of the natural resources in the area spanning hundreds if not thousands of square miles. As you might guess, the gold cave was located within that area.
