How many pilots clotted out mid-flight?

Lots of pilots get alerted anytime there is a 7700 squawk made by aircraft in operation, which denotes an emergency condition (mechanical, medical or otherwise). They do this because we are curious if nothing else and it's as simple as as turning on a notification in a flight tracking app.
Prior to the jabs, it was common to get approximately one 7700 squawk notification in a week and often it was a non-commercial aircraft in some faraway place. Now there is 1 a day at least and they all seem to be in commercial aircraft in developed countries.
Someone could probably go get the data and do an analysis, but my anecdotal observation says something is very wrong.

I almost set up a vacation to Alaska... actually, it was one of those prefabricated cruise deals.
At the last minute they were all "You'll have to take a wuflu test before you can come back because you'll spend about an hour in Canada."
Nope.
Not gonna do it
