I'm the biggest fan of craigslist and use it all the time, but it's a niche tool for a specific purpose just as some of these LIVE Shopping sites are.
Something that I didn't mention is, when you launch to a specific audience with a specific category, it leaves a lasting impression. It's very hard to undo that impression. Can these sites expand to other categories and demographics? IDK, Whatnot is trying, but I'd never buy anything there or have a reason to go back.
The other thing I'll add is some of these sites compete with each other. How many of them sell Pokémon cards and Funko Pops. Take that a step further. How many sellers on the site are selling Funko Pops?
The comparisons reminds me of Wish vs Amazon. Here's Wish: https://www.wish.com/
To make it easy for investors, here's the links. Have at it. You feel better about any investment when you do your own DD and form your own opinions. After all, it's your money that you are investing that shouldn't be influenced by others.
