Full page trade ads will set the stage at the Cannes Market in France this week as Eric Parkinson, C.E.O. of Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE), launches the final wave of supplier outreach before the launch of the multi-studio streaming service, MyFlix. With over 20 major supplier meetings (collectively representing over 12,000 titles not already committed to the MyFlix venture), the MyFlix Cannes activities are at a fever pitch.
"We want to have programming from the broadest range of suppliers possible for the MyFlix launch," said Parkinson. "The existing MyFlix suppliers have been primarily USA and UK-based entertainment companies. But there are large audiences within the North America market for Spanish, French, German and Mandarin content - which we plan to address through new programming acquisitions for MyFlix. The response to our ads and outreach here at Cannes has already been significant during these first two days of the market," he concluded.
In other MyFlix news, the company was just informed that the application for a U.S. Trademark of the name and logo "MyFlix" was approved. This approval occurred after a nearly two-year process during which time Hannover House had to prove to the U.S. Trademark Office that the MyFlix name, website and commerce functions were established and operative. The approval of the MyFlix trademark will enable the company to halt use from other internet streaming services that have utilized some variation of the MyFlix name in the operations.
Hannover House plans to release more Cannes news this week.
