Indeed why make it public now?
Seems like Lalezari answers to no one. His medical clinic might be accurately described as a unicorn. Lalezari does really a lot of HIV and cancer clinical trials. He loves doing that stuff. And he is not teamed with any other organization. I think that gives him the freedom to speak much more freely than government or company employees.
But his comments were made in Dec 2021 and not posted on his website until now.
Possibly the delay in publishing is related to some publishing approvals which must have been needed from the organization that Lalezari spoke with?
Another interesting question might be why did Lalezari speak to this group and why did he do it in December 2021? Seems like Lalezari has had the data used in his presentation for a very long time.
My guess is that Lalezari's independent streak leaves him very far from the mainstream at times. My guess is that Lalezari sort of oscillates between outsider and insider. His independent streak probably puts off some government administrators. But maybe a new administrator comes in and wants some new opinions.
I also wonder why didn't Lalezari offer his opinions on Pourhassan earlier than this?
