When it comes to many believing or not believing in a GOD of their choice or power there will always be an array to fit any individual like tucking a child in bed however, I have had many conversations over the years and always explain that regardless who is right or possibly wrong having some type of religious structure is better than none. Like everything else people become shaky in their belief system and simply fall to pieces at times. I recall one couple years ago that just loved their church of choice but when the head of the that church got caught skimming money from the givings they simply fell away from that church. As you know they had placed their belief/faith in the messenger and not the message. Like so many things feelings over power the principles of the teachings and should not.
Look at the control these churches had over people hundreds and thousands of years ago.
