If Generex/NuGenerex has value exceeding the corporate debt and the creditors were not paid because of say, cash flow or inept bad management, then a Chapter 11 filing would allow the company to reorganize, replace management, and create a plan that would allow the company to continue operating while paying off the creditors. All this happens under the supervision of the Bankruptcy Court.
It looks like Generex was just trying to “stiff” its creditors and Three Brothers got fed-up. Oasis seemed to have more patience until it looked like Three Brothers were going to take everything Generex owns, leaving Oasis with nothing.
A Chapter 11 would create a true assessment of all of Generex/NuGenerex assets. Maybe it will only amount to a bunch of “Smoke and Mirrors” the Joe was blowing up our … But at least then we stockholder will finally know. However, if assets exceed the debt owed, then a new management team could be installed, hopefully resurrecting our stock value.
