If you have any impression that BP has influence here in the US, you cant imagine the influence BP can have in countries and societies like the Philippines. Theres a whole other set of rules (or lack thereof) in other places in the world. Money, influence and violence are much more the ways of most of the world in a much more open way. Its still the case in the US, but below the surface and not spoken of in polite company.
