Russian economy is only 1/7 of USA economy but Chinas economy has reached parity- averaging both major methods- GDP vs ppp
Russias claim to fame is its nuclear forces-which Putin never lets anybody forget- a holdover from the old soviet union
Chinas military tech comes from usa and russia-
china has been at war w the usa for decades-since Maos feudal economy ended 1979 chinas possessed ccp purpose has been to annihilate the usa /west -and the usa china trade imbalance has paid for chinas military build up-showing how short sighted the usa/west is in this ideological warfare future strength
militarily china is not yet any match despite their brazen aggressiveness -they could not take taiwan if biden honored his promise to defend taiwan -just imagine how aggressive they will be when they approach military parity- they are building multiple aircraft carriers under camouflage cover

trump was trying to get NATO countries=of whom the original nato countries usa rebuilt after ww2 -to spend 2% of GDP on military- as per sources no Eurpean country spends over 2.5% on military except possibly greece- relying on the usa to do the vast majority of the work -which hurts usa - because the military multiplier is ony c 2.2 whereas the civilian multiplier is ca 3.3
