I have no evidence that NP’s relationship with Samsung was good, bad, or indifferent. I can’t imagine they didn’t enjoy his enthusiasm, like most of us did. But ultimately, Samsung wants to be a pharma player and there’s no better way to do that then with a platform drug like Leronlimab. They already know the drug and the company, to an extent. It makes a lot of sense regardless of whether or not they feel bad that their buddy is gone. I’m sure they’d make the best business decision and ol’ three fingers wouldn’t factor in. In fact, maybe he was even getting in the way. Hard to know for sure.
