Woke up early this morning (I am 9 hours jet-lagged) to read your post and the butterflies' references.
Maybe I said this before, one of my favorite books is One Hundred days of Solitude. The magic realism of Garcia Marquez uses the butterflies as a symbol of things coming.
In some cultures (mostly Latin-America) a yellow butterfly signifies the beginning of a successful period of one’s life and, if it is not there yet, one needs to be patient because is near (it used to signify the soul in primitive Christianism) ….
The Yellow butterfly in Garcia Marquez book was in reality a Phoebis Philea
In any case, let’s keep talking about yellow butterflies so we will be successful beyond our dreams (magic-realism).
