A few more data points... Bambuser's net loss i
Post# of 32649
Bambuser's net loss in Q2 was $4.7M and $6.6M in Q3 which means it increase by 40% in one quarter!
In comparison, Verb's net loss for Q2 was $11.8M and $8.8M for Q3. It was reduced 35%!
That is a BIG difference between the two companies. Verb was doing a LOT of development for new products (Verbmail, VerbLIVE, Market, VerbTV, etc.) so it will be interesting to see what Q4 looks like. They didn't have a ton of spare cash last year, so maybe net loss would be similar to Q3, but I don't think it matters too much.
For 2022, I would expect it to go up since all the new hires coming, but Verb did cut a few higher paid employees recently. They aren't shy about that - Jeff, Mitch, Nick, Dustin, Julie, Kym, Chad, Brycen, Tal, etc so not top heavy at all with just Rory CEO, Denise COO, and Salman (Interim CFO) at the top other than the VPs of Sales and Products. The acquisition should bring in a few leaders as well so they already made room.
BTW, Bambuser's total headcount (employees and consultants) amounted to 216 (49). We know Verb has about the same number of employees.
There will be a bubble where you hire a staff for products like Market, Verb.TV, VerbMail, before they can pull in offsetting revenue. Institutions and analyst will know this and should view it as a positive thing. Other message board financial analysts are clueless about tech companies and will have a fit about my investment of anything short of Facebook revenues, but even they took a hit. Remember most tech companies are not profitable at the earlier stages and even Salesforce was not profitable for the first 17 years. Why don't the armchair QBs even tell you about other tech companies? It's either because even they don't know or they don't want you to know or compare.
What’s this now? Salesforce reports a profit - May 20, 2015 3:48 PM CDT
"Here’s something interesting: Salesforce—which has never seemed overly concerned with posting profits—just posted a first-quarter profit, albeit a thin one."

The wildcard that we haven't talked about is Verb's acquisition. The last update, last year, Rory said they exercised the option to buy and were shooting for end of Q1.
A few weeks ago, Rory gave an update on the acquisition and it sounded like they were going to announce it 'soon'. Working on the financials for the other company and an audit.
How many employees will they add? How much revenue? We'll find out 'soon'.
I'd be surprised if the acquisition doesn't add some millions to the revenue bucket which may help Verb catch up to Bambuser and who knows, surpass it this year. Looking forward to the $300M or $600M market cap.
Relisten just before the 9:00 mark if you want. Actually go a bit earlier to hear about Market.
