Complex yes but there are a constellation of symptoms that are uber common to focus on like fatigue, brain fog etc…or they can envelope the entire symptom set of 24 or so. Cutting a broader swath with a composite end point might make sense. I would worry about non-specific symptoms like headache, the rule out list is extensive. Either way based on last study I can envision success. Maddening to me are the suicides that have entered in; some people feel so hopeless they prefer to end it. I sent Dr. Kelly a related article recently on suicide and longhaulers expressing a hope they launch this study soon, but this was in the quiet period so no response was anticipated. Smarter people than me are working on it, but something else is holding up this study, wonder what it could be. FDA should be done tweaking at the margins by now.
