Hey FanMail,

if only we could select the numbers, AFTER the lottery draw. Then we would ALL be Millionairs by now. So it is easy to be wise after the event.

And I don't think this has anything to do with lack of DD or terrible leadership.

Just look at NVAX. In the fall of 2019 GNBT and NVAX had very similar market caps, and looking back and with the knoweldge I had back then, I would today still 100% of the time decide for an investment in GNBT over NVAX. As NVAX is the "one trick pony", where investors were lucky to have saddled the right horse. While GNBT still is so much more than the CompleteVaccine or NGIO, which NVAX cannot stay about itself. And exactly that is why I still believe in the turnaround of GNBT.

GNBT/NGIO is NOT just a Covid-play and since this "gamble" seems to have not worked out, it is NOT "game over". There is significantly more to this company and investment, such as "Execellegen", "Oral-lyn", the entire "ii-key" platform technology (remember that NGIO was valued conservatively as 500 mill. USD (without a potential CompleteVaccine?), "Tele-Medicine" and (potentially still) AltuCell.

In all this I see plenty of good reason why this company is not going bankrupt any time soon, and plenty of good reason why the current management should not and will not give up easily but work to overcome the "serious issues" that they currently have to deal with.
(And yes, I know your immediate "cracked record" answer "the sky is falling, the sky is falling, and all the BoD members are silently leaving", and I still have no good answer to the related "Why" question, but still this company has a lot of potential outside of Covid!!)

So what made the difference why NVAX skyrocketed, and GNBT went the other direction? Simple answer: Bill Gates started supporting NVAX in 2015 (Wikipedia quote "Novavax is funded by a mix of private and public investment.[17] In 2015, Novavax received a US$89 million research grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to support the development of a vaccine against human respiratory syncytial virus for infants via maternal immunization."
And additional funding was granted in 2020
https://www.gatesfoundation.org/about/committ.../inv021500
So for some "frigging" reason, Bill Gates in 2015 made investments into vaccines needed for viruses that affect the "human respiratory tract". Hmmmm, makes one think about how much this pandemic simply "happened to us", eh?

GNBT asked for similar funding to BARDA/Operation Warp Speed and the Gates foundation, but did not fit into Mr. Gates plans and thus never received funding or the "fast track status" from the FDA.
In case BARDA would have granted GNBT 50 Million grant (NVAX had received 89 Mill. in 2015 already!!) by BARDA and the "fast track" status, GNBT would already have the "CompleteVaccine" ready (Rich Purcell said so during one of the last CCs held) and we would be laughing our asses off all the way to our banks. Just imagine what difference a $100 GNBT pps would do to your brokerage account?!
This is what is called "speculation at the stock market", unfortunately there were larger players at work where GNBT's CompleteVaccine did not fit in (e.g. because Mr. Gates was not invested prior to the pandemic, and thus could not profit from such a development). To me it is very much obvious that a CompleteVaccine that is very quickly/easily mass produced, provides long term immunity, can be stored at room temperature, has a very long shelf life and can rather quickly be adapted to new variants of the virus, is nothing that BigPharma is really interested in, especially not as a competitor product. In my view THAT is the real issue and reason why GNBT was so far not successful with their vaccine development.

Just think of it this way: While other vaccine makers received the "fast track" status, NGIO was asked over and over again to redo something here, or perform yet another set of tests there before the FDA granted the permission to proceed in GNBT's development. The following line of lyrics pop up in my head here "I fought the law, and the law won" ... GNBT fought an uphil battle against "deep state" deep pockets, and "deep state" seem to have won (and that surely not in the best interest of the taxpayers, who paid the billions in Covid funding and vaccine costs). To be honest, THIS is what really is OUTRAGEOUS, in all of this!!

This is how I add 2 and 2 together.
