In summary, our results indicate that brilacidin has a dual antiviral

Taken together, the broad-spectrum antiviral activity of brilacidin against coronaviruses and the previously reported immunomodulatory effect and antibacterial activity warrants its further development as a broad-spectrum antiviral for the treatment of not only current COVID-19 but also future emerging coronaviruses.
