Pourhassen's leaving really broke a logjam for the
Post# of 147673
Pourhassen, as a great believer in LL, just kept spreading the feast on the Cytodyn table higher and higher as timelines failed to be met, approvals failed to materialize and the bills were mounting up with the butcher, the baker and the wine and cheese maker.
When people would nervous ask about the finances, Pourhassen would say, "Don't worry about that, let me worry about that." I did, until the SEC started going after Fife. The toxicity of that financing finally was poisoning Cytodyn's chances, in my opinion. I don't find it surprising that Migliarese is now the interim CEO.
Pourhassen was also who looked after the shareholders and stood against dilution and reverse splits. With him gone, those dangers might arise. Shareholder approval of 200,000,000 more shares was the best thing we ever did. No bankruptcy court is likely to say the company is bankrupt when it has those shares it could sell. It protects us from hostile takeover too. Used wisely, it should save our bacon.
The news of Pourhassen's leaving should peak more interest in Cytodyn and could start a bit of competitive josteling that can't but help our fortunes. I have no doubt the NASH numbers are great as all other numbers have been when some one or some thing hasn't screwed things up (Amerex, poor age distribution in CD12, 2 dose limit in COVID trials, etc.)
I have great hope that some of this shuffle is also due to having Sidley around. They know more about Cytodyn's current troubles than any one else and, as an advocate for the company, they may have offered their opinion on alternative financing, better business partners and better business practices all around. They read the 10K, no doubt, and probably were asked for their opinions on a few things. That would have shaken things up, I believe. If we can keep them in our corner, I think no one can do us much harm. They must be paid!
In any event, as I said, I believe a logjam has been broken and I hope Cytodyn has the where-with-all to move us all forward.
