was a 'C' level for half my career. this was coming much longer than a couple of days IMO. when you ax an exec you have your lawyers involved, you negotiate an exit , that exit write up is reviewed by the executive who is laeving and his lawyers, etc.. then there is back and forth... the board has probably known for weeks and was putting things in place to ensure the transition worked smoothly. the only time i have seen an exec canned in a couple of days is for bad behavior...i doubt thats the case here. it doesnt mean they arent negotiating with a potential partner but if what NP said was true that he was going to send out NASH results to 1,000 companies, thats not an indication you have a partner locked and loaded.
the next thing to look for is if any high level person resigns in the next 4-6 weeks. that means trouble. but if its "one and done" and Kelly , Reckner and others stay on , i am hopeful for this company
