Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE) has announced its second major feature film for release through the MyFlix banner, with the $10-million-dollar production of "Senior Year," from a screenplay by HHSE C.E.O. Eric Parkinson. The film tells the story of a retired businessman who becomes the unlikely walk-on star of a major college football team as its field goal kicker. MyFlix will also be handling the release for "Portals," a science-fiction thriller about time-travelers disrupting history. Both films are expected to be shot during 2022.
MyFlix is a multi-studio streaming service that Hannover House has been developing for over five years. The service and APP will allow consumers to access over 15,000 movies from more than forty-supplier studios and film libraries. The addition of "premiere" titles and original productions will help MyFlix draw viewers and members in order to be more competitive with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and other major services.
"We are excited at the support and momentum we received upon the presentation of the 'Senior Year' concept to our funding partners," said Parkinson. "The film touches a nerve with millions of football fans and presents a plausible situation for drama and excitement. We expect that several major stars will ultimately be hired for the film due to the unique story and strong roles," he concluded.
Hannover House says that financing for the $10-million budgeted film is being structured with international presales and state film incentives being supplemented by private equity investors and bank credit.
Hannover House was instrumental in the production of the just-completed feature, "WILDFIRE," starring Adrian Paul, Anne Heche and Chevel Shepherd. The company is also involved with facilitation of the production of "The Legend of Belle Starr," now in active pre-production for filming this summer. Another major feature, the action-thriller "Meltdown" is planned for production during 2023.
"Our current business model at Hannover House is very much focused on MyFlix and building-up that venture as a major streaming destination and provider," said Parkinson. "In this respect, our work in facilitiating and assisting with the production of major feature films that can be handled by and through MyFlix is both a source of operating revenues as well as a complementary activity to support MyFlix."
MyFlix is in the final pre-launch stages, with marketing and consumer outreach beginning in early February. Hannover House, Inc. plans to spend approximately four-million dollars in support of the MyFlix launch, with off-balance-sheet private funding provided under favorable terms for the MyFlix venture.
SENIOR YEAR Story Synopsis:
Roger Collins, a retired businessman, returns to college for the last year of classes for the degree he never completed. He's vowed to eliminate all regrets in this life and getting his college degree was an important goal. But once on campus, his love of Football - and his surprisingly accurate ability to kick field goals (honed through 35-years of weekend practice) - inspires him to try out for the team as a walk-on field goal kicker.
After facing some reluctance from the coaching staff and athletic department, his eligibility is cleared by the N.C.A.A. and the national media circus of attention pressures the coach to add him to the roster as college football's first-ever, 64-year old kicker. Roger's field goal accuracy is astounding, with a perfect season record for any kick at 40-yards or less.
Soon, the novelty of a true "Senior" player turns into genuine fan and media support as the University of Arkansas Razorbacks find themselves in the championship game of the College Football Playoffs. With only 3-seconds left in the game, and Arkansas behind by three points, the coach calls on Roger to attempt a 54-yard field goal (which is well beyond his range of accuracy). What transpires in those final moments makes cinematic - and football - history in this ultimate underdog-prevails film.
