"Would you bring in the one thing that could destroy the status quo, if your company was making billions by making the status quo? The status quo being, to make a little poison to treat a little bit of what ails you. Then, make a little more poison to treat the previous poisons."

Yes, this is the point I made many times for the last 2.5 years. Apart from what our idealistically minded countrymen may think the FDA (as any other state agency) is not quite what it appears and supposed to be officially. Just as any other state agency, the FDA exists not for the welfare of the American people but for the welfare of the that part of the existing system of power=money which is called the national health system and BPharma above all. The healthier the American people get--the weaker this part of the system may grow. The FDA is a guardian of this system. To wit, it cannot allow for Gilead to go down because this Pentagon's creature is systemic. So if letting Leron in can drive Gilead back to penny stock the FDA is supposed to make sure it won't happen.
Then why I invested the larger part of my retirement savings in a penny stock molecule that I knew would be fought tooth and nail by the FDA, BP and monied interests behind them? Because even in its historically most corrupt state the US oligopoly capitalism (and its political class) is still not a monolith and its very quality of corruption works both ways, with a pack of predators always ready turning against one another. Another consideration in Leron's favor is that the interests of the entire system of power would always prevail over the interests of its parts. Why suddenly, out of the blue, the system went to war against tobacco in the name of the health of the American people? After all, the losses to farmers, tobacco companies and BPharma's potential profits from tobacco induced deceases were very high. No less serious was the damage done to the cultural icons of cowboy masculinity central to the national Security State and propaganda of the "American way of life" around the world. And yet the system decided it was worth it because the burden of the health system costs began to threaten the stability of the system as such. So Leron's very versatility of indications and powers of preventing most lethal deceases may present both systemic danger and systemic possibilities. A lot of things in our health system are going to be reconsidered in the wake of this pandemic. Inevitably the vector of changes will be in the direction of a socialized national health system which means a huge demand for a drug like our LL. Finally, my third argument against a fatalistic believe in the powers of the FDA and BP is that they are not masters of the world. Even in a weak dependent country like the Philippines we were able to gain a narrow beachhead for Leron. Let's make a public offer of our CANCER program to the health ministries of Russia, China, India and Israel and see what happens.
