Yet another caravan of Central American migrants is headed north toward the US-Mexico border after leaving southern Mexico Thursday — the same day President Biden met with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and did not press the border crisis with him.
The caravan of around 2,000 Central American and Haitian migrants is the latest to attempt the journey toward the US border, according to the Associated Press.

This year, the US has seen historic numbers of border crossings and arrests along the southern border as an increasing number of caravans continued to travel northbound since Biden took office. In the 2021 fiscal year, US Border Patrol agents recorded arresting over 1.7 million illegal immigrants — the second-highest annual figure ever recorded.

In a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas obtained by The Post, the Republicans said they were “deeply concerned” about the situation and warned that border agents “are already overworked, undermanned, and under-supplied as a result of the influx of migrants this year.”
Their call for action came after a caravan containing between 3,000 and 4,000 migrants pushed past a highway checkpoint manned by around 400 Mexican officers in southern Mexico in October.
“Joe Biden’s failed border policies have created the worst crisis at our southern border in 30 years. These policies are now incentivizing mass caravans of illegals to head to our southern border,” Stefanik said in a statement. “Instead of addressing the root cause of our border crisis, the Biden Administration is doubling down on their failed policies. It is past time for the Biden Administration to take action to secure our southern border and our nation.”

A crowd of Haitians and Central Americans estimated at 3,000 people left what they call their “open-air prison” near the border with Guatemala on Thursday and Friday, according to Mexican news reports and social media.

The group is led by Center for Human Dignity leader Luis Garcia Villagran. He means to join a dwindling crowd headed by former Arizona activist Irineo Mujica in Veracruz.
Second caravan leader Garcia alleges that a third group perhaps 6,000 strong and made up primarily of Haitians is preparing to leave for Eagle Pass, Texas.
In Reynosa, Mexico, at a migrant camp, the United Nations IOM helpfully doles out debit cards to aspiring US border crossers.
The IOM workers said a migrant family of four gets about $800 a month. I watched long lines of migrants get their UN debit cards.

Yuma, a city of less than 100K residents has been invaded at the worst possible time as everything is full of snowbirds. RV parks and motels are full.
This puts added stress on the grocery stores and most retail businesses.
Border Patrol needed masks, water, diapers, formula, baby food, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, towels, shoes, etc. and the BP ran out of funds.
Residents and snowbirds discovered empty shelves.
BP also needed food to feed thousands of these invaders! There is NO place for the illegals to sleep and the nights get cold in the desert.
The hospital in Arizona's Yuma County, on the border, is so overwhelmed it's had to fly Covid-19 patients to other cities.
