Marjorie is a better astrophysicist, space laser authority, than a constitutional scholar.
I, too, believe that certain voters would benefit greatly from a period of self-reflection before casting their next ballot.
This group includes those who still believe that the 2020 election was 'stolen' by way of massive vote fraud, despite the fact that not a scintilla of evidence of widespread fraud has been unearthed in the thirteen months that have passed between that election and the present day.
In fact, investigations conducted by Trump-supporting organizations have found that not only was there no fraud, Biden actually won by a larger margin than previously reported. There is also the sad situation of lawyers who went to court in support of the Big Lie being sued, having their law licenses suspended, and possibly being disbarred.
The people who need a "cooling-off period" are those who are self-medicating with animal dewormers, when a vaccine against Covid has proven to be effective and is widely available. Many of these poor, deluded souls are dying every day. So for them, a "cooling off period" is now moot.
And then there are those who really need some time to reassess their voting habits - namely, the people who voted for a scatter-brained whack-job who thinks Jewish Laser Beams are igniting wildfires, an ignorant bitch who spews absolute bullshit at every opportunity, an obvious nutcase who can't make a single statement without sounding like an unhinged lunatic.
These are the people who require time to reflect on their poor choices before voting again. Because unless they do, people like you will continue to be elected to positions they are not only unqualified to hold, but represent a clear and present danger to democracy itself.
So yes, Marjorie - by all means let there be a "cooling off period', in the hope that the idiots who voted for you will come to their senses before it's too late.
