I did the at home self test kit positive and went to the doctor next day when I knew I had the Covid. Positive. That was back in Oct. The main indicator is the fever. You feel hot but cold at the same time. I'm an asthmatic and no breathing issues. No pain. Just 3 days in bed tired. This whole political virus thing is way overblown.
