Disagree. You are installing it on equipment that runs tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars . You do not want your equipment ruined. You test it a lot to protect your equipment. This doesn't include all the lines of command to sign off on it.
The whole process will speed up once a major player signs on. Every company after that wont have to do quite as strenuous and in depth analysis.
All if this is just opinion and conjecture on my part. Don't make any decisions based on anything I say.
