If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudd

How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?
You! Yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still laddy!
I guess Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, Adobe, Meta and 99.9% of all tech companies lost all credibility too? BooHoo.
Once again, the company isn't baking cookies.
I used to provide solutions to almost all the function departments for a number of companies.
The one department that couldn't understand how the technical team operated was Supply Chain. They didn't make any announcements until they had everything planned and calculated down literally to a fraction of a penny and exact dates and time. Took them forever to actually communicate something. Wonder what they are doing these days as supply chains are backed up 3mo. 9mo. 18mo. I guess Supply Chain lost all credibility.
Marketing usually had a launch date and worked backwards from it. As things slipped, the date usually didn't move so you'd sometimes have to reduce scope to hit the date.
IT, a ton of things can happen especially when you are testing at scale. But I never saw a tech company not talk about what is coming. Sales needs lead time and announcements if what is coming generates excitement/marketing buzz. But companies like Meta that are 4 years off are really ridiculous.
Since I wasn't planning on flipping my shares next week, I really don't give two shits if they soft launch tonight at midnight or two weeks from now. Instead I am thrilled that I, as a 'co-owner' now own something I never dreamed would happen. What is funny is if the company did any announcement, there would be a group of complainers unhappy they did it during the holiday weeks.
