I don't think this is new. They've been interested in partners for NASH for a long while. Phase III in NASH is going to require sequential live biopsies. I would guess at least two, and maybe more. In 2019, on MDsave, the cost of a Liver Biopsy ranged from $1,595.00 to $3,939. So let's say its $3000, and you only need two for the Phase III trial -- that's still $6000 per patient, and that's just for starters. Helluvan expensive trial.
