Keep up the efforts even though it’s difficult to get through. Perhaps this part could help. It’s from her update:
“ In terms of the study, I will not be able to participate until my brain Mets are inactive. That means stable is not good enough, Dr Undevia said they have to be essentially dead.”
If she wants to get into a study but can’t because her brain mets aren’t dead, maybe she’d be eager to try a safe injection that can’t hurt but could help against her brain mets enough to let her give her trial a shot. Of course she just might do so well on LL that the trial is unnecessary, which would be a tremendous bonus. Either way, it could be an angle.
In other words, maybe email her and say “I saw this part of your update (insert the above) and based on the latest trial data for LL, this safe drug might do exactly that, allowing you to enter the trial you reference. Or if it works like it has on others, you may not even need the trial.”
