My fear is that this is seemingly what has happened in the past. We take a gamble based on it being a slam dunk and get hosed somehow. I feel this is the same instance again and we will just miss. Lucy/Charlie/Football.

The road gets infinitely more difficult to go through the process of another covid trial and getting it completed within another year, based on how things have gone for the brazil stuff. We have to hit it out of the park (like a 600' shot) to prove to the industry/FDA/etc to overcome all the bashing and struggles we have.

I can just imagine justa crying from the roof tops.... "only 126 patients!!!! too small to justify EUA!!!" Right or wrong, thats whats coming. What happens if we just barely hit stat sig?? We will all be screaming we hit stat sig!! so what if its just barely??!!! We will all be mad and bickering with each other about if it was the right decision. Half will say it was stupid, the other half will say we had to take a chance...

Failing again will be horrible publicity. As much as i want things to happen quickly, we need a 'roided aaron judge at the plate knowing a juiced fastball is coming and that means staying the course IMO.
