Overexpression of CCR5 and the accompanying inflammatory state can cause the brain to atrophy. In cases of overexpression CCR5 blockade can stop the atrophy and cause new axonal growth. Blockade causes an upregulation in CREB (cAMP response element-binding protein) and BDNF encouraging growth. Just yesterday I said I was looking at cAMP and cancer when I ran across the article on CCR5 blockade and PD-L1 expression. So much interconnection in body processes it's a massive task just to sort them out.
So I would say that there is a good likelihood that leronlimab could reverse brain shrinkage.
