Thanks for this Ganesha.
Looks like a dedicated group of 951 members- 'with an interest in expediting clinical trials for the ErSO molecule'. The short summary of the group also states: 'This is not the place for posts or discussions or alternative therapies, protocols, supplement plans, or other drugs in development.' Your use of twitter to connect with them is a great move.
In taking a look at a petition regarding ErSO (with over 20,000 signatures) to be sent to the company requesting clinical trials on Change.org (a platform for collecting online signatures on various petitions)- found four petitions for leron on the website. Main points below.
1) Save Grandma from Covid
To be sent to New York Presbyterian Hospital associated with Columbia University and a specific doctor asking for completion of eIND paperwork for access to leronlimab under compassionate use for an individual.
Created March 2021; 2681 supporters (signatures)
2) Give EUA to Leronlimab and save the lives of thousands of critical Covid-19 patients
To be sent to FDA asking for EUA for critical/severe covid.
Created March 2021; 2833 supporters (signatures) – including, interestingly, a signature from John Bream 8 months ago
3) Leronlimab for Covid-19 cure
To be sent to FDA asking to make this drug available on mass scale and save thousands of lives.
Created August 2020; 44 supporters (signatures)
4) Approve leronlimab for EUA for mild/moderate patients—
To be sent to FDA asking for EAU for mild/moderate covid.
Created Sept 2020; 2278 supporters (signatures)
From what I have observed on Change.org over a couple of years- petitions that are directed to the appropriate people and that are clear, specific, respectful, and viable can get tens of thousands of signatures and do have a level of impact; they are noticed. And are pretty easy to initiate. Marketing the petitions is probably another story.
Got me thinking: what would we be asking? Of who?
