Whoa! Never remotely insinuated anyone, me included, should skirt laws to avoid taxes......what I DID say was that with Leronlimab potential, I decided to sell the shares in the IRA pay the taxes on the distribution from the IRA and transfer those funds to a Roth, which AFTER five years (four more for me now) would be totally tax free.
Had my expensive lesson with the IRS many years ago....no reprise wanted!
