"So, let me begin by welcoming so many new shareholders; individuals, institutions and family offices that have recently become Verb shareholders. And of course a special welcome to our long term shareholders, so many of whom have been with us for years and with whom we’ve shared this amazing journey from a scrappy pre-revenue start-up with a big dream and vision for the future of sales technology - to where we are today – a well-respected NASDAQ-listed, socially conscious company – at the forefront of the technology driving the biggest shift in consumer buying behavior since Amazon began selling more than books – and yeah – we’re still scrappy.
You know, we fondly refer to all of you as ‘the longs.’ And for all of you longs, I’m about to share some information with you that is going to make your day – but for those of you who’ve taken a short-sighted approach to Verb investing – well you might want to tune out now as your day is about to take a turn for the worse."
"for those of you who’ve taken a short-sighted approach to Verb investing"
Wouldn't that refer to traders? I thought Shorts aren't investors. Just the opposite.
Now did Rory piss off Traders? idk
Do traders sell on the news?
I kinda think they've been known to do that
Is Rory the only CEO that says things like that?
Go ask Elon
He likes to tweet about what he's thinking and going to do ahead of time so that there are less surprises.
SEC and some investors don't like it as much. I know I don't but you take the good with the bad and there you have the facts of life.
Let me put 2 and 2 together
Company released earnings that I think surprised a lot of people. Surely internet board trolls were saying they were going to be horrible and they were good.
Now if you knew a bunch of stuff is going to be released in the next 6 weeks...
Would you want to buy shares in the 2 dolla range?
or would you want to buy shares cheaper?
If the latter, exactly what would be the mechanics to make that happen?
No matter what a CEO says about bedwetters, people that don't like ice cream, shorts, traders, assholes it's not going to make a bit of difference in my view
I do agree at this point he shouldn't worry about them and I've told him as much. It's par for the course when you are a young public company to be attacked and human nature to defend.
Be Kind, Rewind
