The Alchemy of an UNproven/Proven winner... seems to require three basic ingredients...Best Scientists...Best Drugs...Best Distribution...and the BBB. Normally Large Molecules do NOT travel through the Blood Brain Barrier...that's about 100% of the time...Small molecules...98% of the time...SO to more than TREAT... these neurological diseases you need transportation...a " Trojan Horse" so to speak. Big Pharma sells $16 Billion of Alzheimer's drugs each year...treating symptoms only. It costs each patient $27,672 after-tax dollars per the Alzheimers Association...who also suggest that the American Society picks up the tab at $20Trillion a year with $15 Trillion going to Medicare and Medicaid.
According to Jim Cramer ( not my favorite) "you would be the biggest drug ever"...IF you could pass the BBB... while addressing these neurodegenerative diseases. IF you had a "Platform Technology"..that could help the 5.8 Million Alzheimers, 10 Million Parkinsons, and 16,000 ALS patients a year in the USA alone you would have a TAM of $62.7 Billion. Also...you would become a "Takeover Target."...Does any of this Sound Familiar?...I read Stock Gumshoe/Travis Johnson and he researched this company called Denali Therapeutics and Passed...The company has 360 employees about ten times more than Cytodyn...is eight years old, with revenue of $5.8 Million close to InCelldx for comparison...and is -43.73 % y/y Net Income...Net Profit Margin of -$158.19%, -$1,600.53 % as of Sept. 2021...and is sitting at $50.79, with a MC of $6.20 Billion with a high of $93.94 and a low of $43.87.
Vanguard has 7,393,400 shares...along with Blackrock, T.Rowe Price, and of course Jeff Bezos to round it out. All believers in a drug that passes the BBB...whatdya know.
I feel good about (CYDY) and prospects for the future....while drawing a comparison between the two.
