Data from last year’s National Survey of Drug Use and Health shows that the number of adults aged 65 and above who reported recent marijuana use rose by 18%. While the company declined to give data on the total number of its clientele in this age range, its spokesperson revealed that seniors made up a big percentage of registered individuals in the state, noting that the firm had observed a significant increase in the use of marijuana among older people in the last few years.
Additionally, chief marketing officer Valda Coryat stated in an emailed statement that the company had observed that older individuals were receptive to marijuana and its medicinal benefits. Coryat added that in comparison to any other audience, seniors were some of the company’s most passionate and educated users of the medicinal herb.
